Service name: Videoconferencing

Role: Collaboration, screen and document sharing, distance and online education


Videoconferencing services at IU include university-wide management and support of administrative and academic use of synchronous collaboration services. Videoconferencing includes room technologies (from vendors such as Cisco/Tandberg, Polycom, and Microsoft) as well as bridging, dialing, and interworking services.

Cost: Free of charge

Adoption process: All IU faculty, staff, and students may use services. Room access is controlled via the Registrar or departmental owners. Software is available at no charge.
