What are the default storage space allotments for various UITS accounts, and how do I request more space?

Following are the default storage space allotments for various UITS accounts provided as baseline services to the Indiana University community. For information about storage allotments on UITS Research Technologies systems, see On IU's research systems, how much allocated and short-term storage capacity is available to me?

Depending on the account and your circumstances, you may be able to request an increase above the default allotment (see individual account entries for instructions). However, only the account owner can submit such a request. Your request must include the Network ID username associated with the account, the name of the system (e.g., Box), and the amount of additional storage space you need.

Note:

The SharePoint on-premises service is being replaced by SharePoint Online, available since July 2016. For more, see About the SharePoint retirement.

  • If you are a SharePoint site owner whose site has been disabled, you can visit SharePoint Standard Farm Migration to request an extension/re-enable. SharePoint will be permanently disabled no later than June 2, 2017; most sites should have migrated to SharePoint Online by March 31, 2017. Sites scheduled to be disabled on March 31 were disabled on April 3, 2017.
  • SharePoint My Sites were permanently retired on April 3, 2017.
