Add media from YouTube to Kaltura MediaSpace

To add YouTube videos to Kaltura:

To log into Kaltura MediaSpace, select the Guest icon ( or ).
In the upper right, from the Add New drop-down menu, choose YouTube.

Note:

You may need to widen your screen to see all available options.
In the new page that opens, enter the URL for the YouTube video, and click Preview.
Enter the details for your recording:
- Name: This is the only required field. It will be prominently displayed above the video.
- Description: Add supplementary information, which will display below your video.
- Tags: Used when searching for your video within MediaSpace.
When you are finished, click Save, and the video will be added to your My Media tab.

Notes:

YouTube videos do not have the same options available as media uploaded to Kaltura, for example, clipping and trimming are not available, and you will not have the same sharing features. You will need to access the available sharing options from YouTube directly.
This media can be added to YouTube playlists and channels.
