About Webtest on Webserve

The Webserve and Webtest servers use PHP 7.1; PHP 5.6 has been retired and is no longer available. For more about PHP at IU, see PHP server-side scripting language.

Webtest is a test server available to all Webserve account owners. It is intended as an environment to test and develop websites and applications prior to moving them into production on Webserve.

  • No Samba service (via Siteshare) is available for publishing to Webtest.
  • E-commerce is unavailable.
  • Connections to the MySQL servers are available.
  • Search is blocked via a robots.txt file.
