About Windows 11 and Windows 10 at IU

Windows 11 for Education and Windows 10 for Education are available to students, faculty, and staff via IUware for download without fee. These are upgrade versions; you must already own a license for Windows in order to upgrade.

For departments, Windows 11 Enterprise, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 11 Education, and Windows 10 Education are available in the IT Pro section of IUware. Enterprise licenses will require manual upgrade initiated by an administrator.
