The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements and security assessment procedures designed to protect data involved in payment card processing. PCI DSS requirements apply to all entities that store, process, or transmit cardholder data, including Indiana University departments. Failure to comply with PCI DSS requirements can result in monetary fines and/or the loss of merchant status for your department and/or the university.
