Activate or deactivate your CrimsonCard

Overview

You can manage your CrimsonCard online from the Card Management website.

Reasons you might activate your card:

  • A new students/staff member who chooses to receive their first CrimsonCard in the mail will need to be activate the card when they receive it.
  • Your card was previously deactivated due to being lost or not in your possession and needs to be reactivated.

Reasons you might deactivate your card:

  • Your card is lost, was stolen, or is no longer in your possession.
  • You are leaving an IU campus or will be in a situation where you anticipate you will not need to use your CrimsonCard for an extended period of time.

Activate your CrimsonCard

  1. Visit Card Management (or from CrimsonCard, select Manage Your ID Card).
  2. Select LOGIN in the top right corner (you may be prompted to authenticate via IU Login).
  3. Select the MY ID CARD tab.
  4. Select Activate.

Deactivate your CrimsonCard

  1. Visit Card Management (or from CrimsonCard, select Manage Your ID Card).
  2. Select LOGIN in the top right corner (you may be prompted to authenticate via IU Login).
  3. Select the MY ID CARD tab.
  4. Select Deactivate.
