ARCHIVED: How do I create and decompress .lzh and .lha files?

For Windows, use WinZip or WinRAR to create and decompress .lzh and .lha files.

For Mac OS or Mac OS X, StuffIt Expander with the StuffIt Engine installed can decompress LHA archives. For Mac OS, there is also the freeware utility, MacLHA, which can both create and decompress LHA archives:

Files that end in .lha and .lzh are most common in Japan.
