ARCHIVED: In Oncourse, what is the Citations Editor Integration feature?

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.

The Citations Editor Integration feature allows you to search for citations from within the rich-text editor and save the results as part of your document. The rich-text editor is used within a number of different tools, including Resources and Messages. For more, see ARCHIVED: The rich-text editor.

Note: The Citations Editor Integration feature is available only at Indiana University Bloomington and IUPUI, and is not available for Guest accounts. Also, the Citations Editor Integration feature may not appear in every tool that uses the rich-text editor.

To use the Citations Editor Integration feature, while composing in the rich-text editor, click the book icon (see image below; the exact location of the icon may vary, depending on your setup). A window will open from which you can search library resources. For any search result that you want to include in your document or message, click Add next to the citation. The citation, with a link to online or library availability as applicable, will be added to your text.
