ARCHIVED: In Mac OS X, how do I change the power management settings?

Mac OS X's default power management settings put the system and display to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity. You can adjust these and other settings in the Energy Saver control panel:

  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. In System Preferences, select the Energy Saver pane, and make your desired changes.
