ARCHIVED: How do I map a drive to my IU SharePoint site or My Site?

The SharePoint on-premises service is being replaced by SharePoint Online, available since July 2016. For more, see ARCHIVED: About the SharePoint retirement.

If you are a SharePoint site owner whose site has been disabled, you can visit SharePoint Standard Farm Migration to request an extension/re-enable. SharePoint will be permanently disabled no later than June 2, 2017; most sites should have migrated to SharePoint Online by March 31, 2017. Sites scheduled to be disabled on March 31 were disabled on April 3, 2017.
ARCHIVED: SharePoint My Sites were permanently retired on April 3, 2017.

Note:

In the following instructions, username denotes your Network ID username. If you are connecting from off campus, you may need to substitute ads\username for your username.

To map a drive to your Indiana University My Site or SharePoint site, see the instructions for your operating system below:

Windows

In Windows, to map a drive, see Map a drive (access a shared resource) at IU Then:

To map a drive to your My Site, in the "Path" or "Folder" field, enter the following:
```
 \\my.sharepoint.iu.edu@SSL\DavWWWRoot\personal\username
```
To map a drive to your IU SharePoint site, in the "Path" or "Folder" field, enter the following:
```
 \\www.sharepoint.iu.edu@SSL\sites\sitename
```

Mac OS X

In OS X, to connect to your My Site or IU SharePoint site, use the Microsoft Document Connection application. Though it is not included in Office 2016, it is installed with the previous version, Office 2011:

In the Toolbar, click Add Location and select Connect to a SharePoint Site....
In the "Address" field, enter https://my.sharepoint.iu.edu/personal/username to map to a My Site, or https://www.sharepoint.iu.edu/sites/sitename to map to a SharePoint site.
If prompted for a username and password, enter your IU username and passphrase.
