ARCHIVED: Using Windows, how do I configure the Citrix Receiver to access IUanyWare?

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.

On a Windows computer, the most direct way to access IUanyWare is via the Citrix Receiver, which you'll be prompted to install the first time you visit https://iuanyware.iu.edu. You can then configure a custom menu of IUanyWare applications, available from your Windows Start screen or Start menu.

Note: Only IUanyWare applications moved to your custom menu will launch automatically when you select the appropriate icon. Files associated with locally installed applications will launch the local instance of that application.

To set up your custom menu:

  1. From the Windows Start screen or Start menu, click the Citrix Receiver icon.
  2. You'll see a message reading "You do not have any accounts enabled. Click OK to open preferences." Click OK.
  3. In the "Edit Accounts" window, click Add....
  4. In the "Add Account" window, enter a name (e.g., "IUanyWare") and, if you like, a description.
  5. Next to "URL:", enter https://iu-cv-wib.uits.indiana.edu. Click OK twice.
  6. The Citrix Receiver custom menu will open. Log in with ADS\your-username and your passphrase. If desired, check Remember my password.
  7. Click Log On.

From the Citrix Receiver window, you can add apps by clicking the Add Apps icon. Select a folder to see its applications. Click an application to copy it to the menu.

Note:
To ensure optimum performance, your IUanyWare profile is reset at the end of each academic year (between summer and fall); for details, see About the IUanyWare user profile reset.
