Course Search is Indiana University's enhanced tool for finding courses and scheduled classes. Course Search combines data from the course catalog, campus bulletins, and the schedule of classes, making it easier for students to find the courses they want. Searchers are able to:

  • Search using a variety of terms (subject, course catalog number, keyword, etc.) from one search box
  • Search for both courses and scheduled classes
  • See when a course is typically offered and when it is actually scheduled
  • Find classes that are offered online
  • Narrow the search results according to a variety of criteria
  • View a list of search terms related to the present search
  • View course catalog, bulletin, and class descriptions
  • Bookmark courses for later reference
  • Add courses to the Academic Planner

Course Search integrates both with the new Academic Planner and the SIS Planner. For more about the Academic Planner, see Use the iGPS Plan to guide your academic path

Course Search is available from a link at the top of the SIS Class Search and Browse Course Catalog pages. For the time being, the SIS Class Search and Browse Course Catalog functionality will run parallel to the new Course Search tool.
