At IU, what is my email address?
If you have an email account at Indiana University, your
email address is as follows (replacing username
with your username):
| Campus | Email address |
|---|---|
| IU Bloomington |
username@indiana.edu
|
| IUPUI |
username@iupui.edu
|
| IUPU Columbus |
username@iupuc.edu or username@iupui.edu
|
| IU East |
username@indiana.edu
|
| IU Kokomo |
username@iuk.edu
|
| IU Northwest |
username@iun.edu
|
| IU South Bend |
username@iusb.edu
|
| IU Southeast |
username@ius.edu
|
If you are a student with an Imail or Umail
account, your official address matches that described above. However,
your reply-to address will reflect the email service you use (e.g,
username@umail.indiana.edu ). See At IU, what is Umail? and At IU, what is Imail?
Note: Whether mail sent to you at the email address listed above actually ends up in your IU email account depends upon what address you have specified as your preferred address. For example, you could choose to have mail that is sent to your IU address automatically forwarded to a non-IU account, such as a Hotmail account. For more information, see At IU, how do I register my preferred email address?
Important: Indiana University provides students, faculty, and staff with IU email addresses, which most academic and administrative offices use to send you messages. If you choose to forward this address to a non-IU account (e.g., Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo!), the UITS Support Center will not be able to help you with problems concerning that account. More importantly, if this forwarding fails for any reason, you may miss important official communications sent to your IU address for which you are still responsible.
