In Windows, how do I find out how much memory (RAM) I have?

To view the amount of RAM you have in Windows Vista, from the Start menu, right-click Computer. Then, click Properties. In the page that opens, the amount of memory will appear to the right of "Memory (RAM):".

In Windows 2000 or XP:

  1. From the desktop or the Start menu, right-click the My Computer icon and select Properties.

    Alternatively, double-click My Computer. Double-click the Control Panel folder, and then double-click the System icon.

  2. Click the General tab. At the bottom of the list, you will see how much RAM your computer has.
