ARCHIVED: In Internet Explorer for Windows, how do I enable ActiveX?

To enable ActiveX in Internet Explorer for Windows:

  1. In Internet Explorer, from the Tools menu, choose Internet Options....
  2. Select the Security tab, and then click Custom Level.
  3. Scroll to "Run ActiveX Controls and Plug Ins" and select the radio button next to Enable.
  4. Click OK, and then OK again.

Note: ActiveX is available only in Internet Explorer 5.0 and later for Windows.
