If I plan to use IU's research computers, what wording should I use in my grant applications?

Indiana University provides a number of supercomputer, massive data storage, and advanced visualization facilities for use by the IU community. These facilities are described in the boilerplate below, which is designed to be adapted for grant applications. (A more thorough statement in Microsoft Word format is available to anyone with an IU Network ID in the Indiana University Cyberinfrastructure - Facilities Statement.)

Facilities: Cyberinfrastructure

_____ will require the support of significant cyberinfrastructure: computing, data storage, database and visualization resources. Indiana University has a long history of providing computing, visualization, and data resources in support of computer science and areas of application of advanced information technology, as well as participation in state and national grid initiatives. Indiana Genomics Initiative funding and Indiana METACyt Initiative funding, awarded by the Lilly Endowment in December 2000 and December 2004, respectively, resulted in major expansions of these facilities. In October 2003, both Indiana University and Purdue University were awarded funding from the National Science Foundation to become part of the Extensible Terascale Facility, now called the TeraGrid. Additional funding in August 2005 allowed both universities to become TeraGrid Resource Partners. This funding is allowing IU and Purdue to jointly contribute resources for the creation of a grid of supercomputing, visualization, and data facilities within the State of Indiana's three largest research campuses (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Purdue University West Lafayette, and Indiana University Bloomington). Institutions in the state of Indiana are interconnected via the State of Indiana's I-Light high-speed optical fiber network. The cyberinfrastructure resources described here will be made available to assist the development and deployment of ____, in keeping with IU's mission of education, research, and public service.
