Using Oncourse Email Archive, how do I set the alias address?
Note: To complete these procedures, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. To determine your role, follow the directions in Participant roles. To create an easy-to-remember alias address for your Email Archive:
- In the menubar of the relevant course site
or project site, click
Email Archive.
- Click
Options.
- In the "Site Email Address" field, type the alias you want to use
as the initial part of the email address for the archive (i.e., the
part before the
@symbol).
- Click
Update Options.
- You will now see your aliased address as well as the autogenerated
address on the main Email Archive screen, for example:
Email sent to the following addresses will be archived and sent to
participants:
german112sect3592@oncourse.iu.edu
1105113863261-20909@oncourse.iu.edu
In this example,
german112sect3592was the alias entered in step 3.
