For discounted rates with AT&T, how do I set up a new plan or move an existing one?

Moving an existing plan

You may move your existing AT&T plan either online or in person at an AT&T store. You do not need to extend your contract to receive the discounted rate; however, a few restrictions will apply.

To add the discount to an existing AT&T account online, complete and submit the enrollment form, and wait for an email to arrive in your IU account. When the message arrives from AT&T, click Validate Now, and select the appropriate group. The discount will start showing up on your bill in one to two billing periods.

To verify that the discount is on your account, look in the "Credits, Adjustments and Other Charges" section for "National Account Discount".

You may also move your existing AT&T plan to the discounted rate by visiting a local, corporately owned AT&T store; see below.

Visiting an AT&T store

When you visit an AT&T store regarding the IU agreement (whether for new or existing service), be sure to have your university identification with you.

The stores near IU campuses listed below are owned by the AT&T corporation. Only AT&T-owned stores sell the iPhone. Other stores that sell AT&T services, but are independent of AT&T ownership, may or may not offer the IU discount. Ask whether the store personnel can process discount code FAN #96047 (for students) or FAN #2024517 (for faculty and staff).

Note: The following table may not show every AT&T store in the listed cities or metropolitan areas. You can search for the nearest store to your location at the AT&T Store Locator; be sure to note whether the store is a corporately owned store or an independent authorized retailer. If you live outside Indiana, or not close to an AT&T store, your best option is still to order online.
