ARCHIVED: In Outlook 2011 and Entourage, how do I archive my mail or restore it from an archive?

In Outlook 2011 and Entourage, you can archive mail, contacts, and calendar events in order to make a backup of your information.
Exporting to an archive file
- From the menu, click .
- Choose the kind of export you want. Outlook exports Outlook Data
File format as
.olm
files; Entourage exports Entourage archives in.rge
files. - Select the item types you want to include in the export, and then click the right arrow to continue.
- Choose whether or not you want to delete the items you are exporting, and then click the right arrow to continue.
- Enter a name for the archive file and a location to store it, and then click .

Importing from an archive file
- Click , and then click .
- In the Import assistant, select which kind of import you want. Then click the right arrow to continue.
- Select the kind of file you need to import, and then click the
right arrow to continue.
Note: Outlook 2011 adds the ability to import data from Windows Outlook
.pst
files, as well as from other mail applications. - Locate the file or folder you want to import, and then click .
