In Oncourse CL, how do I determine my site's siteID?

The siteID for your course, portfolio, or project site is the string of numbers and letters appearing immediately after site/ in the site's URL.

For example, consider the following URL:

https://oncourse.iu.edu/portal/site/c9de476e-8c3f-42c7-8006-83274397fbbf

In the example above, the siteID is c9de476e-8c3f-42c7-8006-83274397fbbf.

Note: As of summer 2006, siteIDs for course sites are more descriptive, including abbreviations for semester, academic department, course name, and section number, for example:

https://oncourse.iu.edu/portal/site/SU06-BL-CHEM-C360-6497

In the above example, the siteID is SU06-BL-CHEM-C360-6497. This format change affects new course sites only. SiteIDs for existing sites have not changed, and siteIDs for new project and practice course sites will continue to follow the format of random, automatically created strings of characters.

Additionally, site leaders can find the siteID in the Resources tool. In your site's menubar, click Resources, and then click Manage/Download Multiple Resources to view the siteID.
