ARCHIVED: About the Adobe Connect Mobile app

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.
Note:

Adobe Connect, IU's previous web collaboration and conferencing system, became read-only on August 31, 2017, and was fully retired on December 28, 2017. After a comprehensive pilot evaluation, Zoom was selected as its replacement.

UITS converted Adobe Connect recordings to MP4 format, but Adobe Presenter files were not automatically converted. UITS offers a content migration service for faculty who need assistance moving Presenter content to other platforms. To take advantage of this service, complete the Adobe Presenter Migration Support form.

With a smartphone or tablet, you can use the Adobe Connect Mobile app to join live meetings on IU's Adobe Connect server. For details about Adobe Connect Mobile, including links to the mobile apps for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry, see Adobe Connect Mobile. The site also includes user guides and other documentation about using the app on tablets and phones.

Notes:
  • While the mobile app is an option for attending Connect meetings, it is not the best solution for hosting them. To provide the most stable, reliable, and full-featured meeting for participants, UITS recommends hosting your meeting from an Ethernet-connected Windows or Mac computer.
  • The Adobe Connect Mobile app is for joining live Connect meetings only; it does not support viewing of Connect recordings.
