At IU, how can I request that software be installed on UITS STC computers?

Faculty members and departments

At Indiana University, faculty members and departments may request that UITS install software on UITS shared systems. If you make a software request for a Student Technology Center (STC), the requested software must be compatible with the operating system the STC uses.

IU Bloomington

For information on software currently available in the Indiana University Bloomington Student Technology Centers (STCs), see the STC Software Lists.

If the software is not listed, you can request that it be added by filling out the online Software Request Form. You can also use this form to submit a request for departmentally sponsored software in the STCs. For more information regarding departmentally sponsored applications, please see the STC Software Partnership Agreement.

For more information about the IUB STCs, visit the STC Home Page.

Send questions about STC standards and practices regarding departmentally sponsored software to  stcsw@indiana.edu .

IUPUI

For information on software currently available in the IUPUI STCs, see the IUPUI STC Software Lists.

At IUPUI, instructors may request software installation in the STCs or on classroom and auditorium instructor stations by completing the Software Request Form.

Send questions about STC standards and practices regarding departmentally sponsored software to  stctr@iupui.edu .

Students

For security reasons, students generally cannot add programs to any UITS computer. If you wish to have software added to an STC or other UITS computer for academic reasons, you should contact your instructors for sponsorship.
