In the IUB STCs and RTCs, how can I print long laser printing jobs?

To print long jobs (more than 50 pages) in the Indiana University Bloomington Student Technology Centers (STCs) and Residential Technology Centers (RTCs), either print your document in one of the STC Extended Services Locations at IUB, or break the document up into sections less than 50 pages long, and print one section at a time.

To execute a long laser print job in the Extended Services Locations:

Windows

  1. For labs other than the IC, click Start, and then Programs. Click Printers. Click STC, and then Special Use B&W. Then, select your lab.

For the Special Use printer in the IC, click Start and then Programs. Click Printers. Click Information Commons, and then select Green (Special Use Black & White).

  2. When printing, make sure you've selected the newly loaded printer in the Print dialog box.

Mac

In the Print dialog box, depending on your lab, select the printer labeled (Special Use) or Information Commons - Green.

If you need assistance, ask the consultant on duty, or call the phone number posted at the consultant station.

Note: To avoid unexpected charges on your bursar bill, check your IUB printing allotment or IUPUI printing allocation regularly.
