What was Live Meeting?

Microsoft Office Live Meeting was a conferencing application, used in conjunction with the Indiana University UniCom service, that allowed people to hold a virtual meeting with small or large groups of participants, using live video and audio interaction, chat, shared files or desktops, and pre-recorded presentations. For more, see Microsoft's Live Meeting page.

With the upgrade of IU's UniCom service to Lync software, Live Meeting is no longer applicable. The functionality previously provided through Live Meeting has largely been incorporated into the Lync client. See Using Lync with UniCom, how do I hold a conference call or online meeting? For more about the Lync upgrade, see About the UniCom Lync deployment.

Portions of this document were adapted from Microsoft's Live Meeting product overview.
