What is Mac OS X Mail?

Mail is the graphical email client built into Mac OS X. The Mail application has the ability to send and receive email through IMAP, Exchange, POP, and .Mac accounts. For information about the latest version and its features, see: http://www.apple.com/macosx/what-is-macosx/mail-ical-address-book.html

Mail has these features, among others:

  • Spotlight searching
  • Dynamic Smart Folders
  • Integrated photo resizing and slideshows
  • Advanced junk mail filtering

Note: Even though Mail includes Exchange support, at Indiana University, you should access your Exchange account through the IMAP server. See At IU, how do I configure Mac OS X Mail to read my Cyrus (Webmail) or Exchange mail through IMAP?

This is document mail in domain all.
