About annual HIPAA training requirements for OVPIT

To ensure the privacy and security of individually identifiable health information protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and meet annual training requirements set by the HIPAA Security Rule, OVPIT personnel who manage systems or services that create, receive, maintain, or transfer data containing protected health information (PHI) must complete two HIPAA training courses every year.
