ARCHIVED: For a NetWare 3.12 server, what are the hardware requirements?

To install Novell NetWare 3.12, you will need the following hardware:

  • A PC (or IBM compatible) with a 386 or higher processor
  • At least 4MB of RAM
  • A hard disk with sufficient storage for your network

    Note: The minimum required is 50MB: 5MB for a DOS partition plus 45MB for a NetWare disk partition containing the volume SYS:. If you plan to install the NetWare v3.12 online documentation on the server, add another 30MB of disk space.

  • One network interface card (NIC)
  • Network cabling (Ethernet, ARCnet, 10BASE-T, token ring, etc.)
  • A CD-ROM drive (if installing from a CD)
