For an explanation of quotas on the Jewel systems, see the Knowledge Base document ARCHIVED: On the Shakespeare and Jewel systems, what are IMAP and local quotas?

You will receive warning messages when you have filled more than 95 percent of your IMAP quota and also when you have gone over your IMAP quota. If you run out of space, you will be unable to receive new mail, and a polite bounce will be sent to the return-path of the sender. To free up space, you must delete messages from your Inbox and other message folders. For more information, see the Knowledge Base document ARCHIVED: About your Cyrus mail storage space
