ARCHIVED: For Windows, how can I get software updates and patches?

UITS recommends enabling your system to automatically download and install needed updates using either the ARCHIVED: IU Microsoft Update Service or the Windows Automatic Update feature. Alternatively, you can download current Windows operating system updates using the Windows Update web site.
