ARCHIVED: At IUPUI, who may have an Exchange account, and how do I obtain one?

At IUPUI, faculty, staff, graduate students, and hourly employees may have Exchange accounts. To get an Exchange account, you first must have an ADS Domain account. To check the status of your current accounts, visit the Account Management Service (AMS) at:

  https://itaccounts.iu.edu/

Select the correct information on the screen that appears and click Continue. Log in with your Network ID username and password, and then click view your accounts. Under "Account Information:", check to see that "Active Directory Service" is listed. If it is not, click create more accounts and follow the instructions to create your ADS Domain account.

You may request an Exchange account as follows:

  • Faculty or staff members: If you are a faculty or staff member, you may request an account yourself via the AMS web page at:
      https://itaccounts.iu.edu/
    Select the correct information on the screen that appears, and click Continue. Log in using your Network ID username and password. Click create more accounts and follow the instructions to create your Exchange account.

    You may also submit your request as described below, or ask your department's local support provider (LSP) to do so.

  • Student hourly employees: If you are a student hourly employee, you must have a staff or faculty sponsor or your department's LSP make the request for you as described below.
  • Graduate students: If you are a graduate student, you must have a full-time staff or faculty sponsor make the request for you as described below.

You or your sponsor must send the request to actadmin@iupui.edu as follows:

  • The email request must come from the staff or faculty member or sponsor's account.
  • The message must clearly state the request for an Exchange account.
  • The request must include the new account holder's username; faculty, student, or staff ID number; and university status.

Note: Requests will not be processed if any of the above information is missing.
