About Media Collections Online

On this page:

Media Collections Online provides online access to audio and video recordings from Indiana University collections and select scholarly projects. Media Collections Online is supported by the Library Technologies division of the IU Bloomington Libraries, with additional technology support from UITS. This resource is based on the open source Avalon Media System software co-developed by the libraries of IU Bloomington and Northwestern University.

Anyone may view publicly accessible items in Media Collections Online. However, the majority of content is restricted to authorized users based on course enrollment or departmental membership. This includes sound recordings previously served through the Variations system.
