Embed Tableau workbook views
If you need to embed a Tableau workbook view in a web page, Tableau Server can render workbook views without the surrounding Tableau site markup.
Note:
- If the workbook with the view you want to embed only contains Public data, you can allow access to the view without requiring IU Login, see About institutional data at IU.
- To set a workbook's data classification, use the Data Delivery Apply Security tool, see Use Data Delivery Apply Security to assign security to Tableau workbooks.
To create a workbook view you can embed in a web page:
- On Tableau Server, go to the workbook you want to embed.
- Open the view you want to display.
- Open the "Share View" dialog box. To do so, on the right side of the toolbar above the workbook, select

Alternative to using Hide Tabs
To hide tabs for a specific view, add the tabs=no
parameter to its report URL.
