About the Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS)

The Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) is a service provided by Campus Networks that extends VLANs across the IUB and IUPUI Data Centers. VPLS helps system administrators facilitate better resiliency scenarios in their own service implementations. For example, system administrators can vMotion or failover VMs within the Intelligent Infrastructure between Data Centers without needing to re-IP anything.

VPLS is also available for physical systems in the Data Centers; the service is not offered outside the Data Centers.

If you have questions or are interested in VPLS, email Campus Network Engineering.
