ARCHIVED: On my BlackBerry, how do I change the time zone?

As of April 2006, Indiana observes Daylight Saving Time (DST) statewide. To change the time zone setting on your BlackBerry, follow the appropriate steps below:

Note: This document assumes that you are in a county that is in the Eastern time zone and will remain there. For more information, see the Knowledge Base document ARCHIVED: Time zones in Indiana.


Most BlackBerry models

The information below was tested on a model 7280; some settings may vary on other models.

  1. From the BlackBerry main menu, choose the Options icon.
  2. In the Options menu, use the trackwheel to choose Date/Time and then click the trackwheel.
  3. With the cursor over the "Time Zone" field, click the trackwheel. Click the trackwheel again to choose Change Option.
  4. Use the trackwheel to select Eastern Time and click the trackwheel again to confirm.
  5. Click the trackwheel once more and choose Save.

BlackBerry 7100 models

The information below was tested on a model 7100g; some settings may vary on other models.

  1. From the main menu, use the trackwheel to select Settings and then click the trackwheel.
  2. From the Settings menu, choose Options.
  3. In the Options menu, scroll down to Date/Time and click the trackwheel.
  4. With the "Time Zone" field selected, click the trackwheel, select Change Option, and click the trackwheel again.
  5. Use the trackwheel to select Eastern Time and click the trackwheel again to confirm.
  6. Click the trackwheel once more and choose Save.
