To access Queen Bee (LONI) via SSH, you must first create a password using the LONI password reset form.

To create a password for SSH access to Queen Bee:

  1. Navigate to the reset form, clicking to accept any security certificate warnings from your browser.
  2. Next to "Email:", enter the email address associated with your Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) account.
  3. Next to "Image Code:", enter the security characters visible on your screen.
  4. Click reset.
  5. Check your email account for a message from the LONI allocations administrators, and click the link in the message.
  6. On the Password Reset page, enter a password, confirm the password you entered, and then click submit. Passwords must be between 8 and 15 characters long.

Note: LONI administrators must verify and approve the password reset before it takes effect. Although the process usually takes only a few hours, depending on circumstances, you may have to wait up to one business day.
