The cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (caBIG) is a TeraGrid Science Gateway project developed by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Its goal is to accelerate the discovery of new approaches for the detection, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer by helping researchers, physicians, and patients throughout the cancer community share data and knowledge.

The caBIG gateway connects scientists and practitioners through a sharable and interoperable infrastructure, and provides tools for collecting, analyzing, integrating, and disseminating information associated with cancer research and care.

For more, see the caBIG Community Website.
