IT Community Partnerships

IT Community Partnerships (ITCP) provides services in the following areas:

Community engagement
Community engagement
By facilitating "continuous, timely dialogue, and flow of information to effectively adapt IT services to user needs" (Empowering People Action Item 29), ITCP seeks to establish relationships with IT Professionals on all campuses in an effort to build a community with a common bond.
Outreach
Outreach
ITCP promotes opportunities to educate the IU community on university-wide IT strategic directions, the breadth and scope of available UITS services, and sustainable technology practices to promote workplace efficiencies. This includes a dedicated Student Outreach team. Through engaging in discussions with IU community members about the technologies available to them, ITCP collects feedback for the UITS service providers. (Empowering People Action Items 28, 43, and 47)
Collaboration
Collaboration
Through matchmaking both community needs to services and from department to department, ITCP works to find opportunities for university departments to collaborate on similar IT projects. In cases where the departments find it advantageous and desirable to leverage centralized UITS systems, ITCP helps facilitate the transition to those resources.
Sustainability
Sustainability
By identifying and leading initiatives that reduce the impact of our technology use, ITCP engages the entire IU community to create a more sustainable computing environment through effective purchasing, management, use, reuse, and disposal practices. (Empowering People Action Items 21 and 23)
Consulting and assistance
Consulting and assistance
Through consultation, ITCP assists units with the adoption of services in support of the policy Cyber Risk Mitigation Responsibilities (IT-28). ITCP also conducts security reviews for departments upon request.
