ARCHIVED: Why can't I modify my Exchange distribution lists in the GAL?

Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 has changed how permissions are granted for modifying distribution lists. If you get a message that you can no longer modify a distribution list, contact your IT Pro and request that you be made an owner of the list(s).
