What is the IU Enterprise Confluence?

The IU Enterprise Confluence service is an online collaborative environment for sharing information in support of the Indiana University community.

Confluence is used for intranets, knowledge management, and documentation. For example, authorized participants can view and search for information, write specifications, host pictures, develop and publish product manuals, develop documentation and track changes, and structure and re-use content.

Features include a fast and smart editor, drag-and-drop file sharing, intelligent search, flexible notifications, and granular permissions.

View and update permissions are configurable. A page may be viewable to the world or viewable and editable by only a few.

If you log into the IU Enterprise Confluence with your IU Network ID, you will likely gain increased privileges to:

  • View and edit content, depending on permissions
  • Comment on content, depending on permissions

For information on how to use Confluence, including examples and links to documentation, visit Testing Tools Support and drill into Confluence, or see the Confluence description.

UITS continues to add features and fix bugs, and encourages your comments and participation. Send requests to the Jira/Confluence mail queue.
