In IUCAT, how can I increase my search results?

Find more resources in IUCAT by using the Boolean operator OR between search terms. This is helpful when searching for terms that have commonly used synonyms (e.g., medicine and drug) and similar words (e.g., vegetarian and vegan).

You can use OR in both basic and advanced searches. Boolean operators will work only if you capitalize them.

For example, if you enter the following search, IUCAT will find records that include at least one of these terms, but not necessarily both:

  vegetarianism OR veganism
