Instead of dialing the auto-attendant (812-856-7060 or 317-278-8080) from your Polycom desktop phone, use Skype for Business. In the search bar, type <conference#>@vc.iu.edu, right-click the result, and choose Skype call.

Disable or uninstall the extension, and then refresh the page. By default, Chrome users can disable all extensions by entering incognito mode (Ctrl+Shift+N).

Screen sharing from Chrome is extremely low resolution, despite high resolution settings on the computer.

This issue is caused by a problem in the WebRTC protocol. To improve screen share quality, lower your desktop resolution to 1280x720, and quality will improve in the bridge. If you wish, you can then raise your desktop resolution again. The bridge will display the higher resolution until you end the screen share.

Locking a conference before any participant starts audio or video prevents new participants from joining the conference.

Before you enable the lock conference feature, initiate audio or video, or click Start Conference in the options menu at the top left. In an affected conference, the host should disable the lock conference feature to allow new participants to join.

Chrome or Firefox users at a remote location may successfully connect to https://bridge.iu.edu, but may not be able to send or receive audio and video.

To allow WebRTC connections to the IU Video Bridge, your computer and institutional firewall must be configured to allow the following traffic:

  • UDP port 3478 outbound to 156.56.240.21 (bridge.iu.edu)
  • TCP and UDP ports 49152-65535 outbound to 156.56.240.21 (bridge.iu.edu)
  • UDP 19302 outbound to 74.125.142.127 (stun.l.google.com)

Chrome or Firefox users who visited https://bridge.iu.edu before May 23, 2015 and attempt to join a conference may see this error message: "Not Found. The requested URL/webapp/lobby was not found on this server."
