Global Mobility Management

The Global Mobility Management team uses AirWatch, a mobile device management product owned by VMware, to manage smartphones and tablets on a variety of platforms, including iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone. At IU, the UDM project uses AirWatch to assist in aligning with the Mobile Device Security Standard (IT-12.1) by providing centralized management of device security, application distribution, and inventory management.

Departments interested in joining this service should visit the UITS Leveraged Services home page and click Getting Started.

System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)

System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) will be used in the IU environment to monitor events and logs in a variety of operating systems, and to send alerts to administrators in the form of messages, workflows, or support tickets.
