Equipment monitoring

Data Center Operations uses WhatsUp Gold for constant monitoring of systems, servers, and infrastructure.

Scheduling services

List of scheduling duties:

  • The production migration of Enterprise System online and batch source code for IU written applications
  • Emergency deployment of batch and online source code
  • Define Enterprise System batch schedules utilizing an automated batch scheduling product
  • Monitor and review batch schedules for optimal design, perform runtime analysis
  • Provide test batch scheduling options for pre-production testing of applications batch schedules
  • Provide scheduling support for application releases and upgrades
  • Define and manage batch schedules utilized to provide database replication
  • Maintain software updates for batch scheduling product: web client, server agents, manager databases, security patching and product licensing, and reporting options
  • Work with system administrators for system upgrade for new install of automated batch scheduler product and patching to insure least impact to customers
  • Validate and test automated batch scheduling product after subsequent changes
  • Train development staff on use of automated batch scheduler product
  • Manage batch and infrastructure batch documentation repositories
  • Provide batch flow diagrams and version control for application and infrastructure batch inventory spreadsheets
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery document storage and annual review process when needed
  • Maintain contents of UITS DS.CALL, after hours contact list
