Set up Read&Write for Google Chrome

Before you begin

Note:
The following instructions are for use with the Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS versions of Google Chrome. Android and iOS mobile versions of Chrome do not support Read&Write for Google Chrome.

During the setup you will need to use Google Chrome to install the Read&Write for Google Chrome extension and Screenshot Reader extension as well as any other optional extensions or apps.

The optional extension that is part of the Read&Write for Google Chrome product is OrbitNote (formerly OrbitDoc).

Install the Read&Write for Google Chrome extension

  1. Launch Google Chrome.
  2. Follow the instructions to install Read&Write for Google Chrome extension from the TextHelp website.

Install the Screenshot Reader extension

  1. Launch Google Chrome.
  2. Follow the instructions to install the Screenshot Reader extension from the TextHelp website.

Install OrbitNote

OrbitNote (formerly OrbitDoc) is an optional extension for use with Read&Write for Google Chrome.

Note:
When asked to sign in, use the "Sign in with Microsoft" options using your IU username and passphrase.
  1. Launch Google Chrome
  2. Follow the instructions in Getting Started With OrbitNote from the TextHelp website.
