Request a Power BI workspace

In Power BI, you can create a workspace, which is a collaborative environment for a group of users to create and refine collections of dashboards and reports.

Only members of a workspace can see its data. User roles determine how much data members can see or manipulate in order to create reports, or whether they can import data into the workspace. For more, see Roles in the new workspaces in Power BI.

A Power BI workspace is required if you plan to publish resources (Reports, Datasets, and Dataflows) to the Power BI Service.

Faculty and staff members may request a workspace by completing the Workspace Creation form.

To change permissions for your workspace, or to delete it, complete the Modify Power BI Workspace form.

Note:
The Enterprise Windows & Azure Administration (EWA) team and data managers may also be members of the workspace, so that their automated tools will be able to administer the workspace.
