Cast Meta Quest HMD

  1. On your phone, tablet or computer: Ensure that both the Meta Quest HMD and the device the headset will cast to are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Make sure that the Oculus app on your casting device is up to date for optimal performance. Casting may have some latency, and the quality may depend on your Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Prepare to cast the HMD:
    1. Turn on your Meta Quest HMD and put on the headset.
    2. Put your headset on and press Meta logo / Oculus logo on your controller to open the universal menu.
    3. Go to "Camera" settings and select the Cast option in the upper left of the window to enable casting.
  3. Choose where to cast the HMD:
    1. The next prompt will ask you to select the device you want to cast to (for example, your phone, computer, or tablet).
    2. Once you've chosen the casting device, look for a red dot in the upper right of your vision to confirm the casting on your Meta Quest HMD.
  4. View on computer or phone/tablet:
    • Computer: Open your browser, go to oculus.com/casting, and log in with your credentials. Confirm the connection and start casting.
    • Phone or tablet: Open the Oculus App and confirm the connection to start casting.
  5. End casting session: From your Meta Quest headset, select the Camera button again in the Main toolbar. Then select Cast again to stop casting.
