ARCHIVED: In Microsoft Excel, how do I adjust the page margins on a printed spreadsheet?

To adjust the page margins on a printed spreadsheet in Excel, you can use several different methods.
Excel 2010
- Use the File menu:
- From the menu, select .
- Under "Settings", select the drop-down menu.
- Choose a different pre-set option, or select , adjust the values for each margin that you want to change, and click .
- Use the Page Layout tab:
- On the tab, click , and then select .
- Use the arrows to increase or decrease the margin sizes, or enter the desired size in the appropriate box. When you're done, click .
- Select your data:
- Highlight the area of your spreadsheet that you want to print.
- Click the tab.
- Click , and choose .
Excel 2007
- Use the Page Layout tab:
- On the tab, click , and then select .
- Use the arrows to increase or decrease the margin sizes, or enter the desired size in the appropriate box. When you're done, click .
- Adjust the margins graphically:
- In the upper left, click the Office Button.
- Select , and then .
- Check , and then drag the margins to the desired size.
- Select your data:
- Highlight the area of your spreadsheet that you want to print.
- Click the tab.
- Click , and choose .
Excel 2003
- Use the Page Setup option:
- From the menu, select .
- Select the tab. You can then enter the desired margin sizes.
- Adjust the margins graphically:
- From the menu, select .
- In the
Preview
window, click . You can move the margins manually with the mouse by dragging the handles.
