ARCHIVED: Using Oncourse Announcements, how can I control the order of announcements on my site's Home page?

To control the order in which announcements are displayed on your site's Home page (under "Recent Announcements"):

  1. In Announcements, click Options, and under "Display Options", select List view with announcement body.

    If desired, you can use the provided drop-down list (next to "Characters in body") to change how much of the announcement body is displayed.

  2. Click Update to save your changes.
  3. Set a beginning date for each announcement. You can set the beginning date when you first create an announcement, or you can add a beginning date to an existing announcement by editing it; see ARCHIVED: Adding, editing, or deleting an announcement.

Using this method will force the "Recent Announcements" area on your site's Home page to display your announcements in date-descending order (i.e., the announcement with the most recent beginning date at the top), and will prevent participants from being able to change the display order.
