What is the Citrix Receiver?

The Citrix Receiver is a universal software client that provides secure, high-performance delivery of virtual desktops and applications.

At Indiana University, the Citrix Receiver allows client devices to connect to IUanyWare, delivering a growing number of popular applications to students, faculty, and staff on or off campus. No additional application installation is required.

The Citrix Receiver is available for many different types of clients, including (but not limited to) Windows, Mac OS X, iOS (i.e., iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch), Android tablets and smartphones, and BlackBerry smartphones. The Citrix Receiver provides a uniform user experience across all clients.

To install the Citrix Receiver and use IUanyWare, see How do I set up and use IUanyWare on a computer or laptop? or How do I set up and run IUanyWare applications on my mobile device?
